Lake District Trip

Just a quick update from my end... I spent the day up in the hills of the Lake District!

It was absolutely stunning up there. Something I've not been able to do for the past couple of months is get out and not think about photography, and not think about conceptualizing everything I see, so it was so wonderful to get away for the day with someone I think is lovely and just spend the day in hysterics and falling up hills.

Here are some shots!

attempted to teach Iain how to focus... didn't quite go to plan :P

After falling up and down the mountain we headed back to the car, and drove to a fish and chip shop. I have the girliest car in the world, it's a cream VW Beetle with a roof that comes down - Iain was driving along, roof down, sing along to Daniel Bedingfield belting from the CD player... amazing!! World's campest moment ever!

We took our fish and chips to the lake and parked up inches away. I braved the motorway home in the fog, made it back in one piece no less!

It's been a lovely day, but back to get my head down! I move into my new apartment in Manchester next week, I'm terribly excited and absolutely terrified at the same time. It kind of hit me the other day that I HAVE to have a set amount in my bank account each month. Eep!!

Here are some pics of my new pad pre-Rosie:

Will update with post move-in pics next week! :D

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, and if you're feeling the drag and loosing yourself in all the work, a trip to the Lake District is definitely recommended!!

xx
