Sue & Matt tied the knot last year, and I was so excited to shoot their wedding! Not only because they are SUCH a fun couple, but because Sue was also pregnant!!
You can barely tell from the pictures, but she's actually 5 1/2 months along, and her due date was yesterday! So in all these shots, not only are they of Sue and Matt, but little Charlie Carter is hiding in there somewhere ;)
Song of choice, Bryan Adams of course! :)
Sue got ready and had her reception at the STUNNING Thornbridge Hall - this is actually where my parents got married!
Sue's two pups got in on the action, too ;)
With hair and makeup done, everyone started getting excited...
Time for the dress!! Sue didn't stop BEAMING whilst putting it on!! :D Happiest. Bride. Ever. Can you tell!?
Little story behind this next picture...
As a female wedding photographer, I often find myself pitching in for certain jobs - I've done bridesmaids hair before, makeup here and there and holding dresses up.
Sue however, encountered a different kind of emergency.
Her veil completely refused to hook into her hair - the hairdresser had already left, which left me and a few others frantically trying to find a way to attach it.
Then I remembered - I was wearing hair extensions with clips in!
I whipped one off, chopped off the clips, cut away the veil grip, and sewed my hair clips onto the veil.
Luckily, it actually worked!! My hair was slightly less bouncy that day, but it was definitely worth it! ;)

A little bit of a push needed for the bridesmaid's van! :P
...and we were off!
Back to Thornbridge Hall for the reception! It was such a beautiful day, everyone got acquainted outside and the sun began to set...
Sue and Matt decided they didn't want any formal photos, and only had one speech, and so we did their bride and groom portraiture in a swift 10minutes so they could hop back to the party...
Matt's speech about Sue was just so lovely.
The light started flooding in behind the window as he was talking about her, it couldn't have been more beautiful!
I caught Sue with these beers as the night started to draw to a close, she swore they weren't all for her!! :P
A beautiful end to a beautiful day.
Congratulations Matt and Sue - and Charlie!!! It was SUCH an honor to photograph your wedding, and hopefully I'll be taking some snaps of your new addition soon! ;)
