When Fran got in touch with me about shooting her wedding in Peterborough, I was SO excited. Not only because she is a wonderful photographer herself (and we all know that shooting other photographers' weddings is a wonderful excuse for camera talk, and they understand what we go through!) and not only because she is just a downright jaw-dropping beauty, but because she is such a lovely lovely wonderful wonderful person.
Fran made me feel like family as soon as I stepped through the door (accompanied by my trusty second shooter Alex Cameron!). She didn't wipe the smile off her face for one moment when she was getting ready - and rightly so, she and Lewis had been planning their wedding for two years!
My song for Fran and Lewis' wedding is an easy one.
Enjoy! :D
Fran looked absolutely phenomenal!
Fran and Lewis are Jehovah's Witness' - which meant their ceremony took place in a "Kingdom Hall". Fran's dad explained to me that this is because their faith believes Jesus wouldn't have condoned big fancy churches and efforts of grandeur.
I found it really interesting, and while I was photographing their ceremony you could see that the love on everyone's faces was making everything vibrant - it was simple, but so, so beautiful.
Fran looked SO happy when they walked out! Lewis looked so proud of her!
After many hugs and congratulations, it was off to the reception...
Stop being so beautiful, Fran!
Guests milled around chatting and having fun whilst the formals were being taken...
The big entrance, followed by the speeches!
Before I knew it, it was time to run and catch the last train home to Buxton! I managed to grab a few more snaps before I left...
and who knows, maybe one day I'll be shooting these guys' wedding ;)
UPDATE: these two are cousins! :P So maybe not!! :P
Fran and Lewis, thank you so much for having me at your wedding. You are an absolutely beautiful couple, inside and out. You're the kind of people who need to be bottled and sold.
Lewis - I'm glad we managed to kick your camera-shyness once and for all. Kind of.
Fran - You know I love you ;) Can't wait for our lunch, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
"It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life."
These are all absolutely wonderful!
